Walking through the city I’m constantly amazed by the urban canyons formed from tall buildings and narrow lanes. I enjoy looking up and around, not always focussed on what is at street level. I’ve used a tilt-shift lens for perspective control and to capture the entire building.
By day Flinders Lane and Degraves Street are a hive of activity, however at night the streets appear desolate. At the centre of it all the Majorca Building remains tall and steadfast amongst the ebb and flow of daily life. Built in 1928 Majorca Building was designed by Harry Norris and features Art Deco faience.
