Wandering down to the marina in Singapore you can see the Merlion, a mythical creature with the body of a fish and the head of a lion. The Merlion appears to stand guard over the city of Singapore. I’m not sure if it’s like a fish spouting water or like a gargoyle after a storm.

As I walked through the bustling city streets of Singapore I came across The Panang, a tranquil open area that’s reserved for public use. The Skypark appeared to float above the ancient trees like an enchanted craft from a Miyazaki film.

On approach to busy Changi Airport in Singapore my flight was delayed, with the plane circling while waiting to land. With the sun sinking towards the horizon I thought I’d miss any opportunity to photograph the sunset. Instead out the window I was able to capture this fleet of empty ships glittering in the sunlight with the magnificent Singapore skyline visible through the haze.
