A couple of weeks ago Michael from Waghorn Photography organised a photoshoot in an abandoned building in Spotswood, not far from Scienceworks. I was keen to explore and capture the place and it was also an opportunity to practice portrait photography, something I rarely do. I used two speedlites; a hard light setup with key light off to one side and a blue gelled fill light on camera.
Most of the photos I edited, shifting the white balance between red and blue, boosting the exposure or toning down the highlights. This photo of Hannah was my favourite from the day, and is straight out of camera. The blue light compliments her colour scheme and the key light falls softly across her face.
