About
Many years ago I decided I’d like to make a far reaching difference to society, the sort of discovery that would change everyday life. Ultimately it seemed more important to me that I’d at least tried. I became interested in studying many things with the hopes of writing a book. A book would pose many limitations on the scope of my interests and how I’d like to portray them so a website seemed an appealing alternative.
The aim of this website is to express many of my ideas and opinions and to foster personal development through an increased understanding of self and environment. The aim is not to tell people what is wrong with their lives and how to fix it, how to make money or achieve physical success. It’s about attaining contentment, both personal and widespread.
Much of the information on this site may come across in a very simplistic way, and may be things you have thought of before. There’s plenty of advice out there that seems desirable to follow but is hard to put into practice. My hope is to inform on the options, yet ultimately everyone decides for themselves as to whether their decisions are right for them.
The name Polymu comes from the Ancient Greek word poly ‘many’ and the Japanese word mu ‘nothing’ or ‘without’. It is a fusion of Eastern and Western ideas and philosophies, ranging from ancient Vedic wisdom through to modern theories of logic and physics. The name also reflects my own background.
